It's no surprise that the couple loves rock climbing, and surely enough it's also how they met!

One random afternoon, the couple each went with their group of friends to a climbing gym in Montclair. To this day, Jofer still remembers locking eyes on the pretty girl staring at a wall figuring out how to do a certain climb.

"Asking for a friend... Is Diane... single?" Jofer asked Ian, his only connection to Dianne at the time.

"Tell your friend yes, she's single. Oh, and I approve btw." Ian replied.

Climbing with friends was their only way to hang out. Their feelings for each other became very obvious to everyone around them except themselves. So one day, their friends "unintentionally" bailed on a scheduled climbing day, leaving the two with an opportunity to hang out alone together.

"Jercie and Kate can't go tonight - are you still down to climb?" Dianne texts Jofer nervously, half hoping he'll cancel so she doesn't have to deal with the awkwardness, the other half hoping he'll say yes.

The groom claims that his heart dropped when he read this text. As he was trying to keep his cool, he texted back, "Of course I'm still down!"

This day led to their first official date where the groom also confessed his feelings and intentions for the bride. Not long afterwards, they officially started dating.

Next thing you know on another random evening at a climbing gym once again, Jofer knelt down on one knee and asked the big question, "Dianne Baysa, will you marry me?"
